iTransfer - File Transfer Tool App Reviews

Needed to get photos from my iPhone to a Windows PC - easy and fast.

I was thrilled when I first used the app. BUT just about the time I decided to purchase the app I tried to upload a photo from the camera roll and got message that I had to use Settings so the app could access the photos. As far as I can tell iOS will not do so. Then I tried to upload a 2.4mb PDF file which never arrived. The app did notify me that the file was in the upload list and that I could monitor progress in the Progress View which cannot be found. (Smaller files uploaded). The user interface foR setting up the connection to the server does not allow editing after entry. Perhaps some of these problems will disappear if and when one elects the "full" version.

FTP should be straight forward but so many apps fail. Not this one! It does just what you would expect.

The only prob so far is to transfer songs i can only like 5-10 at a time and bot all 200,the upload stuck..good job)

I add my personal sFTP and tried to connect with it. It says loading then crashes every time. The app is just not stable to do what it says it does. Im using the app on the latest iOS update on a 32GB iPhone 5s which is a day old. Im just glad I didnt spend any money on this app what so ever. Also when setting up a server you have to guess what information it wants at what spot because they use little icons to represent what they want in the boxes where if they only had the word PORT or IP would make it easy. Its not like those words would take up to much space. I know they want to make the UI look nice but go with a simple look first with a WORKING app.

I wanted to download a file from a website that I didnt have FTP access to (not my site). The app only appears to allow you to download from your own sites, and not other sites that happen to have downloadable files. The app might be good, but it just wasnt what I needed.

This update is terrible wish I could go back. It used to be a simple app but now its new UI is hard to understand. I cant even find the WiFi web server to upload videos and photos to the camera Roll If I receive better service I will re rate the app

This app runs flawlessly and without fail. Nuff said!

SFTP is no longer functional with the new versions of FreeBSD. It exits with a PAM authentication error -- looks from auth.log like it enters PAM mode and fails to send the ident string, so FreeBSD rejects all attempts to authenticate. Deleting, can no longer use. Pity -- its a useful app when it works, but if it doesnt work, it doesnt work, and its taking up a lot of space on my iPad.

I dont like the ad I have to close every time I open the app (even if I just switch to another app briefly), but otherwise it is an indispensable tool for me to interface with my colleges network on an ipad. --SumGubernator

I tested this app on an FTP connection I have at home. It allows the connection and lets you browse through the files, but uploading files from your phone to the FTP is a nightmare. Most times the app will crash, some files dont copy through and if its a picture, good luck finding out witch picture didnt go through. Id look elsewhere for a 2 way connection FTP app

You can use the free version for local, site, or ftp but not on NAS, ftps, or sftp, for those protocols you need to purchase full version which I wont do unless Im certain that the product will meet my need. Dont get me wrong, this app could be the best product out there.

It is excellent for my using to add subtitle to my Dune hd player. Renaming the file name is easy! Thanks

Connects, "unable to get file list." No further info offered. Waste of my time.
